My first album was Hits ’67, which I bought at the tender age of nine. By the time I was eleven, I was into the Four Tops, the Tamla Motown Sound and Stax’s stable of artists.
Then, when my cousin came to the UK with the US Air Force, I had a profound awakening and discovered the true meaning of soul music. I was introduced to the hardest-working man in show business, James Brown.
From my one vinyl album, my collection has grown to hundreds, a mix of LPs, 7″ singles, and 12″ records. Now most of my vinyl is digitised; it can fit on a disk smaller than the tip of my little finger – the wonders of technology.
My Uncle, Ossie Scott, the renowned saxophonist with Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, had always been a part of my life. My love for music has been deeply rooted in me since a very young age, from playing the piano to listening to classical music.
Having played for crowds and parties in the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s, I have now returned to share my extensive love for music from all genres with you across the globe on Feferity Radio, your number one choice.
