The School of African languages, a new entry in the languages industry with hopes of seeking fruitful partnerships with driven, forward-thinking organisations like your own.

The School of African Languages (a.k.a SOAL) is a UK start-up that specialises in the delivery of African language courses to individuals via live, structured, interactive and engaging, 1-2-1 or group sessions.
All our sessions are delivered by professional, native speaking teachers based within Africa and beyond. Our company is made up of highly professional and experienced language teachers, with over 100 years of combined teaching expertise. Our curriculum has been carefully crafted to create a structured, consistent engaging space where learners leave our classes with confidence.

We can proudly say that we were the first company in the UK to offer the widest range of African languages to the general public in this format – and since then we have provided space for other players to enter the market.

Our focus is to rebuild connections to Africa and across the African diaspora and we would like to do our part to help reach those goals.
The primary approach of our company is based upon the successful progress of our learners and this is our guiding principle in all we do. Being a small organisation provides flexibility, the absence of complex bureaucracy and the opportunity to see the direct impact of efforts & ideas in a short space of time!

We support and reflect the African Union’s educational manifesto, Agenda 2063, to transform the African continent into a global powerhouse. We are working to help people become proficient in not just Eurocentric languages taught in school.

We are extremely fortunate to be able to count progressive organisations like SOAD (State of the African Diaspora, commissioned by the African Union) and Africa Centre, among our allies that support our mission.
