Thank you Carmen Carr and the Red Roosters for putting on a great performance. It was electrifying! Massive respect to all our regulars for making the night another success.
Here are some of the comments from those who attended.
‘A great night of live music was had, lovely friendly people and good food too! A range of diverse music to capture your Soul and imagination, I urge you to come out and discover these sublime nights’! Caz Amethyst Johnson.(Radio Presenter/Fan of live good music).
‘Saturday night at the Ritzy was great! It felt like I was in the states. Carmen and the Red Roosters gave me a little nostalgia. Every event Feferity puts on is full of vibrancy and good vibes. Major big up to all the organisers and Miss Nana, your food was truly delicious.’ Says Lorna the supporting act for the night.
The lady of blues Carmen Carr herself wrote.” Thanks Freestyle for your message of thanks and appreciation. It was a beautiful night, beautiful gig and a receptive and beautiful audience. Me and my band did ourselves proud, we played a great 👍🏿 gig, we’re what we say we’re, a damn great Blues band!! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to prove that. Everyone wants to know when we’ll be back Upstairs again, I say hopefully we’ll be back soon.”
Nana Oforiwaa our local chef made these comments.
“Saturday evening we had a lovely and raucous music. A crowd of happy people. We enjoyed ourselves and we had some pleasant food. The music flowed all night. The more, the merrier.”
Another beautiful message from one of our regulars Paola Brunetti, she wrote. “We have spent a fun packed Saturday evening with my friends at Ritzy Upstairs with Feferity London. First, we received a warm welcome by the staff and organiser and enjoyed a delicious complementary West African dinner, just to set the mood. The chef offered meat and fish and also a veggie option. Her dishes were all so yummy! Dark chocolate pudding was then ‘the cherry on the cake’!
Meanwhile at the console, the DJs were warming us up for the main dish of the night: live blues music!
The great Carmen Carr backed by the talent of a rocking band, entertained us with class and good taste. The exceptional vocal talent of ‘the blues woman from Kingston JA’ has been thrilling us around London for many years, and as usual she delivered, one more time. We danced to her blues and had a really good time!”
Mark Goldberg partner and manager of Carmen Carr mentioned.
‘A warm and happy crowd, soaking up the real blues atmosphere, grooving to the top talents of a legendary band, with the superior vocal skills of Carmen Carr, London’s Queen of the Blues.’
